Very old Hohner / Koch two row in A/D

Description

This is a very early two row Hohner / Koch in A/D

Whilst badged as a Hohner this is actually a very late Koch with Koch reeds and reedblocks. probably made towards the end of the 1920’s it has its own sound which is very much like the Koch Ouverture.  This is a proper piece of melodeon history!

This must have been one of the final Koch runs after the company was bought by Hohner.  The Hohners which followed and culminated in the pokerwork and erica were copies and evolutions of this design.

I couldn’t let this old fellow die so have carried out extensive restoration work including

All new treble end buttons

Reeds all removed, cleaned tuned and valved

All pallet facings replaced

Bellows tapes and gaskets replaced
