This is a very early Hohner Club Modell 1 in Bb Eb
In very original condition, for those who care about these things it even has it’s original grill cloth and bass strap. the “original Hohner” decal is still intact on the back of the keyboard.
This has been fully restored, de-clubbed and tuned to modern concert pitch A=440 the keyboard has the modern 3rd button start two row layout rather than it’s original club layout. this is an early Modell 1 from the early 1930s it has the original wooden treble keyboard mechanism found on this model which is a totally different feel from the later metal version. these feel lighter and with smaller domed key tops they play surprisingly fast.
We have carried out a full restoration of this box to return it to perfect playing condition, the bellows are in top condition, the action is crisp and light and the tone is deep and mellow.
Restoration carried out
- All pallets removed, cleaned and re-faced
- All reeds removed, cleaned, tuned, re-valved and re-waxed
- Woodwork has been given a light French Polish
- Any worn bellows tapes have been replaced with period Buckram
- Bass buttons have been removed, cleaned and re-polished
- New bellows gasket fitted
